It is!  Valve cover wise anyway.:)

Yep, pretty sure it's a Ford Triton V8 of undetermined interior dimensions.

The 'Deception' I'm sure is the phoney Injector Induction system.

Carnut

Here's another one of those Triton V8's:

Carnut

Humm, is the Ford Triton the next Flathead?

In the pics above I know they went for the massive chrome valve cover 'Hemi' head look with funky induction systems.

But if you look at it thru a coke bottle lense, you could make the valve covers look like flathead heads with some judicious use of paint and chrome acorn nut covers. Maybe even mold up some finned flathead head looking covers.

Then set a flathead aluminum intake with 2 or 3 or 4 two barrels on top for looks.

Did I drink too much of the pop?

Carnut

Oh gee, just realized the most obvious.

Cast aluminum 'ARDUN' valve covers.

I haven't messed with one yet, but I am told there are some fitment problems, because the engine is wide in the oil pan area, much like a Northstar. Not really a problem in a 30's car, but a big problem in a 50's chassis.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.
