Ventilation ideas wanted

We decided to glue in the vent windows since they would only open a couple inches anyway before hitting the side mirrors. I told my wife I would hook up a fresh air intake. I looked around and found some eletrically controlled dampers, but the smallest is 5 inch. I'd like to run some 3" polished aluminum tubing under the fender and back through the firewall and splice it into the A/C vent hoses. I don't have to have an electric damper, cable would be OK. I was thinking about an exhaust cutout, but didn't find where I could buy just one. Any ideas?

53/54 chevy cars had cable operated ones but they are 4" diameter,  maybe different years are smaller.

Everybody's favorite place, JCW has the cast iron cutouts for 2 1/4" pipes.

make them yourself. two 2 1/2" steel discs, with a 3" rubber sandwitched between them, install it on a shaft that fits through a hole in 3" tubing.
