I have a question. How is the speedometer cable attached to the 700 R4 transmission ? Is it simular to the Th350. I think all or most of the cars and trucks that had this transmission had a electronic speedometer. I have an electronic speedometer ,but it uses the TH350 speedometer cable with an adaptor.
Thanks for all your HELP !!!

early 700/4L60 trans had gear driven cable type speed-O drives.

Gm was changing to the elctronic speed-O setup in the mid/late  1980's.
