Hi all,

About 5 months ago, I won an eBay item from Classic Performance Products. It was an aluminum gas tank for a '47-'55 (1st series) Chevy 1/2 ton pickup... So it said on the auction.

It's a long story of having it shipped to a friend of a friend's place, loads of  delays and eventually receiving the tank last week.  When I tried test fitting the tank to my frame, I've come to the conclusion it's a F-1 Ford tank.

I paid about a hundred dollars less than the suggested retail for this tank because although it had never been installed on anything, it was returned and scuffed.

My Question:::

Can anyone provide me with either a picture of a '47-'55 Chevy tank from CPP or alternatively a picture of a '48-'52 F-1 Ford Tank?

I'm undecided whether to try to retrofit this tank to my frame or sell it and get a proper one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I am John.

Do I have to post the picture on a hosting site (Fotki?) before I can post it on this board?

I'm a quick study, I only have to be told once.

Thanks.

You can post from your hd, but it has to be the right size.

Here is how I do it.

Right click on the picture you want to post.

Select open with paint

When it opens in the paint program, left click on image.

Select stretch/skew and then change the values in the boxes.  I usually change them to 24%.  (that makes the picture small enough to post)  You may have to make them a different size.  I like to keep them as big as I can.

Save the picture to a place you can find it. When you save it, title it something you will remember.

Open up the RRT, respond to the post, browse for your picture and select it.

Thats the way I do it.  There is probably an easier way.
