What else works good? I have used that G.M stuff that comes(or used to?) in gallon containers.I think it is a creosote? like base..or product.Sure works good..sure is NASTY..sure is $$$..about $100. I have heard/read about some acids?/toilet cleaner?

 Thanks..

It's actually a caustic soda base, and yes it's nasty. Works good on pistons too. the last one I bought was from Solderseal, and was about $100 for 5 gallons.

A lot of the newer carbs and throttle bodies are plastic coated, and won't stand up to the older carb cleaner. So on them, I clean with acetone.
