mercedes benz question

i was coming out of an appointment today and there was a MB sitting out front. on the windshield directly in front of the rearview mirror was a row of LEDs (or at least they look like LEDs). what are they for?

Most people have a higher than average number of legs.

I'll take a guess! Maybe they are a row of sensors to gauge the distance between the MB and the object in front of the MB. As that distance closes the brakes would start to be applied.
Then again, maybe that's a little to "Buck Rogers" ish.

Maybe its an ego meter?  The more LEDs lit up, the bigger the driver's ego.  My appoligies to any MB owners in the crowd.

  My good buddy..gone from his 400 Ponch days  :cry:  ..does well in life..comes by in his new  Benz with a blower on it.I think he had it about 1 or 2 minutes.
 He doesn't know what half the crap in it is..OR does..LOL..or seem to care :roll:
 We  stop somewhere..and he says.."The salesman said to NEVER touch this while you are moving..HMMmm..ESC..on/off..doesn't appear to do anything..better try this WHILE the car is moving..HAHA this is under warranty" :P
  Like a true hot rodder..he shoves his right foot through the firewall :D .Respectfully..this is a powerful car..and very seriouslly light's 'em up..in the midst of this he hits the ESC button :twisted: This thing grips the road purtty good and heads off :wink:
