I have "inherited" two powerglide transmissions.  I believe they are out of 63-64 Chevy's.  I have no use for them but understand that drag racers are prone to using them.   Can anyone give my a ball park figure on what they could be worth as in what should I ask for them??    :?:

TIA

That's what i was told too, i have been hanging on to one for many years, guess i don't know the right racers!!!

Not many original parts from a glide are used any more on drag cars. I usually get $75 for a stock core.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

Crosley.In.AZ

we pay 25 - 40 $$ for a PG core.

Our glides with a stock case are so heavily modified , little remains are OE glide parts.

Racers are making so much HP on the motor  in todays world it is really surprising.

easiest way to tell is if you don't need a front end loader to move one.....
The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it\'s still on my list

58 Yeoman

When I bought my '58, it had a 283 with the cast iron PG; the engine and trans were out and connected together.  I think the PG weighed more than the 283.
