Hi,
I need some help with a tranny,it's a 700 R4 that i don't know the history on.
I readjusted the TV cable by the book.(pushet it tward the firewall wile holding the button in with WOT.
This thing slips from first to second, then the shifts are real soft(to soft) the ras of the changes.
If you put your foot in it at 40,it down shifts but is slipping.
Can this still be the TV cable?
Can anyone help me?
thanks Russ

IF the TV cable is adjusted correctly , and the trans is slipping........  There is some serious internal problem.

there should be no slack  in the TV cable at idle throttle position.

Thanks Tony,
the fluid looks brown as well. I readjusted the cable again, same problem. I think the tranny is toast.
