Thanx Mike, it's improving.  Funny thing is I don't always like it as much as others seem to, but I was most pleased with how this job turned out.  And my freinds keep dropping stuff off at my house for me to scribble on, so I guess I must be doing better than I figure.   :?

Probably moreso for me than for you guys.

I trust the North of 49 pickem up truck will be on the salt again next year?

Our new engine better last at least 2 years.  It's been 2 years in the making.
Our parts list is getting shorter, last weeks was only a few hundred dollars which is a darn sight better that the several thousands we had ahead of us at this time last year.
I imagining this summer will involve training dad and Ted to better handle push starts and our new found power. That would make 2007 a must.

You are a bad influence, due to your success I have picked up some brushes.  I haven't found time to do much with them yet though.  I've been trying to encourage myself to doodle  a bit first.

what is that motor out of??? Your bike is just to cool, and you are right about having Carp strip it, that would finish it off just perfect!!

Neat bike, looking forward to seeing it at the "Big White Dyno"

Rex
Thanks Rex.  The engine is one of the chinese motorized bike kits that are on ebay.  I'm broke right now and can't afford to work on cars so this has been a way to have cheap fun this winter and keep my tools and brain busy.

Your bike is looking great. Did the build go smoothly?  Are you having fun riding it?
Mike
Hi Mike.  This is actually my second bike.  We had a mild winter and in January I rode the first one over to a buddy's house where a guy offered me way too much money for it to refuse.  This one isn't done yet but it runs and I've put about a tank of gas thru it so far.  I'm working on  urethane chain tensioner and guides right now.  I need to improve the brakes too since it's pretty fast for the coaster brake with my fat butt on it.

Thanks for the inspiration you gave me when I saw the ones you and your brother built. :D

Here's a couple more pics of where it's at right now.

I'm bumping this back to the top to see if anyone else wants to share some of their "off the wall" projects, interests or hobbies, not necessarily rod building related.

I think it's interesting to see some of the other stuff people here do. :D
