Had a wild animal show up in my front yard today.

No body knows who the animal belongs to.

I named it Enjenjo.

Are there many of these roaming around in Arizona? I mean, is it common to see one, or are they rare?

This particular one must be really old.  What a great animal.

I've never seen one of these in the wild here in Arizona.  They may be here , I've just never seen one.

the guy really gets around too. he is slow but keeps moving all the time.

I imagine he has many years on him. His feet are actually very soft to the touch.

My dog was not sure what it was.  She was walking around the tortoise sniffing and looking

Every year we get Snapping turtles migrating between the swamp and the creek crossing our yard. We had a big one a few years ago that was 18" across the shell.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

I think it needs to be out in the sun more.  When I first saw it, I thought it was one of those concrete lawn ornaments.  Looks kinda pale for being in AZ.
