Hagan Frenched headlight trim rings

Does anyone have any experience with the trim rings on Hagan frenched headlights?  I am about to install my headlamps and it looks to me that when I snap in the chrome rings, I am going to scratch the paint.  Ant ideas out there?

seems like enjenjo has used them...... he uses everything at least once.  cept the lawn mower

Yes I have used them, and I don't recall any problems. If you think there may be a problem, you might use some masking tape to cover the area around the rings before you install them.
