We took a pair of bicycles to ride around the salt.  These were simple collaspable bikes designed for regular mostly smooth surface.

As many now know the salt was fairly rough this year.

So  I looked around for something a bit better to ride. I found it.  As I was about to try the scooter out..... some person snapped a foto of me.

Gee Tony, you should have unloaded it and took it for a spin.  I obviously wasn't using it.

I got the motor from a fellow down your way (Arizona)  Live Fast Motors is the name he uses Googling the name ought to lead you to him.

I really had a blast playing with that bike on the salt.  It was even comfortable to drive from the Start line to the pits.

I'll have to add that to my list of things I shouldn't even think about. I'd been wanting to find  one of the JAWA front wheel friction drive set-ups that used to be available. My old Columbia 3 wheel bicycle has a differential so that both back wheels are both driven so maybe I'll look at his gear reduction unit to see if it would work for me. Then I can start thinking how to get it all on the plane as carry-on luggage. If I have 3 wheels does that mean that I need to be half again faster than Tony? GPster

The Fenders were made by Cody Davis in Bend Oregon, he sells them on ebay.
here's a link to an image of one fender and a couple more links to shots of the bike.

If I took a look at those fenders while riding I'd think the wheel was bent and fall over. GPster
