And it does.

I was trying to hammer 'up' some dents in my bench at work.  Using my 2 lb sledge and a t-350 input shaft . About the 4th swing  I missed the shaft, hit my hand which drove my forearm up into a cross brace.

Most of the swelling has gone down , still a bit painful though.

Must be one of those days. This afternoon I was welding a piece, lifted my mask to move around the other side, and the piece started to slide off the horse, I grabbed for it with my right hand, got the ground clamp, it was hot, let go of that, the stinger started to slip out of my left hand, grabbed the copper shield, now I have a blister the size of a quarter on both hands.

I ran a call today that made me think of you.

steel fab shop.
monkey trying to move 3 half inch thick steel
sheets, 4'x8'.
tried to move all three at the same time, using a plate
clamp designed to move one at a time.

plates shifted when he started to lift with the hoist.
then he tried to catch one of the plates, barehanded.

luckily he has enough adipose tissue on his
rump for the skin grafts.

it ripped all the skin off his right hand from the palm
to the tip of the first three fingers.

looked really nasty.  

looked like it hurt
