Got the speedo cable installed
on the Coupe.
I used a Lokar cut-to-fit from Speedway.
it was a really simple install. straight forward
instructions.

test drive showed my speedo about 10 mph faster
than the pace car.
pulled the tranny gear, it has 18 teeth.

to slow down my speedo, do I need
more teeth, or fewer?  :?

seems to me, more teeth will speed up the cable
and fewer teeth will slow it down. but that's why
I'm asking here.

Thanks for your input.

model a vette

Vance- If it is a Chevy trans I can get you part numbers if you figure out what gear you need. It is easier to get a parts department to order parts if you have the number.

Thanks Dude!  8)

I appreciate the offer.

I have a few laying in a drawer in my
tool box. as near as I can figure, using the
above link, I need one with 20 teeth.

its a powerglide tranny, but near
as I can tell from the above link, the
gears for a 350 and a 'glide are the same.

if not, I'm sure Tony will let me know
if I'm F.O.S.

Thanks for all the help  :!:
