I understand the later model Pinto motors found in the
Ford Rangers have 2 spark plugs per cylinder.

Did these ever come with a distributor?
or did they switch to individual coils at the same time ?

I know some of the Nissans had two plugs per cylinder,
and a nice looking cap that uses 2 external coils,
were there any other 4 cylinder later models
that ran 2 plugs per cylinder ?

Alfas used two distributors, anything Porsche is too expensive.

Thanks.

It is my understanding that the 2 plug heads were not used until 1989 and the last of the motors with distributors was in 1987.

My '89 has 2 plugs per cylinder and I probably won't know any more about it until it refuses to start. GPster
