I've done it using 64 to 72 chevelle spindles, and a Horizon rack. you have to use a spacer on the lower ball joint taper. You might also try Aspen/Volari spindles, considering they are the source of most of the ball joints used in the tubular control arms.

how about 79-87 g body spindles?
betcha the holes will be closer...
The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it\'s still on my list

G body spindles are front steer only. the 64 to 72 spindles can be switched to rear steer by switching the steering arms side to side.

why can't ya flop 'em side-to-side?
i AM gonna try it on a rear-stear camaro clip that's in a packard....

btw, i DO have the reamers now...

Well for one thing the ackerman will be way off. As the steering arms point the wrong way.

so, what are ya needing a rear steer steup for?
i may have a "different" idea...

I am gathering info for my Morris full frame project.

I want a rear steer to keep ackerman sorta close. It is easier on a rear steer than a front steer  to keep ackerman principle closer

Need a narrow IFS deal. About 47- 48 inches hub to hub ( where wheel bolt on)

Fatman offers a narrow front steer crossmember for Metro / Anglia stuff.

I've looked at Heidts super ride rear steer, I could narrow that plus they offer 3/4 inch narrowed arms too.

What about swapping the Mustang II spindles side for side,
and then bending the steering arms to get the correct Ackerman ?

I think Alloway used a Citation rack on his rear steer front ends,

32 Chevy

Several years ago, with Enjenjo's help, I converted a MII to rear steer using chevy Nova spindles and a VW rabbit rack. It isnt perfect because there's  still a little tire scrub during real tight turns at full lock. I think that may be an alignment issue, not an ackerman problem.
