Expensive powerglide

Some of you folks have expressed interest in various trannys we build where I work.

here is an $ 8,000.00 tranny, the torque converter is not shown here.

It is a custom J&W power glide case and bell housing. These peices are certified for racing applications.

A Ford bolt pattern on the bell housing.  High dollar gear train inside, custom pump, direct drum, with trans brake.  Many, many tricks in this tranny.

On the back end is a Gear Vendors O-drive unit.

I was told this tranny is for a very powerful street / drag race rod with a large CID Ford engine .

Thanks Tony! its pretty cool when you share photos of stuff. I'd show some pictures of my work, but confidentiality regulations prevent it.
besides, some of it shouldn't be seen by anyone

kinda makes the 'glide I got under my coupe look sick.
I guess its Powerglide envy!
