Is this what you need??? I bought this to use on my 62 vette and didn't use it. It is for a tach cable but that is the same as a speedo cable ain't it?

That looks like what we need. I am curious as to how it works. It would seem that it being two gears the direction would reverse but evidently it is made so that this does not happen. Let us know what we owe you. TIA

I've got 50.00 in it. I'm sure it is made so as not to reverse, a bud runs one in his 61 vette and it works properly. Send me your snail mail addy and I'll get it in the mail.

Problems, problems, problems. The little devices is sure a neat little piece but unfortunaltely it has been made to be used on a different size cable and housing. It is bigger than what we need. I got the name of the manufacture off of the instruction sheet but I could not locate them on the web or a search of the town where they are located. I have their phone number and I will try to call them tomorrow.

Is okay to send it back to you?

I found a unit through United Speedometer in CA. I will try to post a picture. It is a Stewart Warner item. The part number is 407010F and it is about $90. delivered but that is still cheaper than going to an electronic speedometer.
