I love it when I score parts for nothing.

Last week I was at my friend's salvage yard. I brought home a pair of front turn lights from a Pontiac Sunbird. Nice, round amber units. Since I am doing the interior on his kid's car, they were free. Then I stopped at a local muffler shop and asked if they had any pipe that the lights would fit in. The guy brings me a price of 4" tailpipe that had just come off a truck. Looks like new, and free!

Now I'll cut out a circle to weld on the back, with a hole in the center for the plug, cut a hole in the front fender and tunnel them in. Viola, great looking lights that match all the other round lights on the car, and all at a total cost of zero dollars. I love it when a plan comes together.

As soon as I get the body back on the frame and the fenders bolted on, I'll post a pic or two.

Only thing that beats a good freebie is a great "quickie" :-o
