Need some help in finding a shop that can install a Fatman IFS system in my Model A ( 1930 ) has to be in SE Michigan area ( within a 100-150  miles or so ) . Been to 8 or 10 shops in the last month or so, they say one thing on the phone and when you get there its like they have no idea what your talking about. Need the help because I cant do any of the welding.

Thanks for reading this.

Is this a one piece crossmember that has to be welded in?  If so, the critical part is to center the crossmember in the centerline of the front wheels.  After that, its just a welding job that most any good welder can do.  Maybe a good welder who has a welding truck and can come to your garage?  I've had experience with a Heights in a Model A and that was all there was to it.  Not familar with the fatman kit.  If the original crossmember is still in, then weld some metal frame rail to frame rail before removing the stock crossmember so the frame stays in spec.

If you have a faatman kit double check all the welds on the supplied
crossmember.  I have heard of more than one cracking at their welds.

I too have heard bad things about the Fatmans kits.
