thanks KB . I try to do things carefully as I dislike doing things over . That is why bodywork can be frustrating to a machinist. You are used to cutting to within spec, the concept of having to add more filler and do again makes me feel like I messed up. At least adding filler is easy , kind of hard to build metal back up . Easier to take off than put back.

Well I have not been busy as of late . Had my grandson stay with us for the last 2 weeks . A 4 year old can sure wear you out ! 8)

They do have ample energy, and it sounds like you're attending to the important things in life.

I now have the door to the point that the reveal lines up nice with just the top and bottom hinge in place . The door rubs against the B pillar just at the point where the pillar gets wider and thicker just below the striker . I bent the B pillar in that area back toward the back of the car as it appears to have been bent forward at some time . Limited success , I may just have to heat and "massage " the door in the area where it rubs . I should add that even with the front removable section of the B pillar removed , the door lines up with no contact of the B pillar so it is not being pulled up into place with the rubbing .

KB if I made 1/10 of the progress you make on a monthly basis I would have been driving this car years ago :-[

more success , I used a hydraulic ram and moved the B pillar back a bit . I noticed one rivet that had become loose . When the b pillar was moved back to where the opposite side one was , I welded on the rivet . When I let off the ram , the door closes much better with just a slight touch yet .  :) I mat have to move the door up just a bit yet , then it will close with no rubbing . I still have to put in the middle hinge and line it up with the others . I should probably line up that hinge before I do the bear claw latches , Yes????
