I need a source for a braided steel brake line like the rubber one in the photo. This is the line that connects the hard line at the frame rail to the two hard lines on the rear end housing.  It is about 12" long but could be longer.  I know I can buy the line and the fittings and make up my own but it would be nice if someone sold the complete assembly or a kit.  It has 3/16" inverted flares.

I have determined that I have at least a 200 PSI pressure drop from one end of this rubber flexible hose to the other end.  This is the 3rd one of these I have replaced and I have had enough.

I think I found one here.  https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Braided-Brake-mouting-block/dp/B01MSWPBKO/ref=sr_1_4?crid=13CLLKTM2CYOS&dchild=1&keywords=3%2F16+braided+brake+line&qid=1595608919&sprefix=3%2F16+braided+brake+line%2Caps%2C199&sr=8-4#HLCXComparisonWidget_feature_div

Question asked and answered counselor. I think that one will work but I'm in the same boat you are...I thought I was wrong once but I was mistake.

I will continue talking to myself.

Now I am not sure if I have the pressure drop through the line.  My wife was helping bleed the brakes and take the readings.  She was having trouble pushing the brake pedal consistently and she was finding it difficult to read the gauge.  I think I will retest everything tomorrow after I come up with a different approach and possibly another assistant.   In the 50 years we have been together, we have rarely argued or raise our voices when speaking to each other.  But bleeding brakes and testing brakes may do us in.

So, you've never had your wife "help" you back up a big trailer!? 😂

Actually she just recently tried the brake bleeding job again.  We decided long ago that the brake bleeding was not something we should do together.  I own about every kind of self brake bleeding tool that can be bought or made.

In the past this is a short list of things we do not do together.

1.  Bleed brakes

2.  Back up trailers

3.  Hang wallpaper

'This morning I self bleed the brakes.  Then I made a stand for my iPhone so that I could video the gauge while I was applying pressure with the pedal.  I now have 1135 psi through the flex line.  It test okay.  Now I will move further on out the system.

Backing up trailers... if I was a divorce lawyer I would spend my weekends at the boat launch handing out business cards     .

Sharon has bled brakes with me for many years. She does not drive so she has no predisposition as to how it should be done and (gasp) just follows directions. I do the trailer backing my ownself - I was a truck driver in a prior life - and I don't do wall paper...period.

I hope the brakes work better this round for you John...

I can pipe in on the wife stuff.  My wife is great on brake bleeding.

Buying a car trailer 30+ years ago likely saved our marriage.  When we had to flat tow a vehicle with a rope or chain.. yikes! It was a lways a mess with her driving the "towed car"..... I had a clamp on tow bar for a while.  That sucked eggs.  All it did was come loose on the bumper I clamped on to

I drove truck back in the 1970s... bob tails or short 5th wheels in local delivery only..  She helped guide  me backing up one time.  After I hit something, I asked her if she knew she was to yell at me to stop or just watch me hit something like I did.

I'll brag ... my misses helped me bleed brakes a week ago , perfect helper . 2 weeks ago she did the driving to rope tow my 65 merc home , again no issues . When we had a boat I would back it in , she would just hold the rope . The first time we moved to a new city it was a good thing we packed the knives first    we hired movers the next move. There is no wallpaper in my home. I am certain our wives could make similar lists

I'm really quick at wallpapering. I'm just seldom do it straight.
