Howdy all!
0n the 1967 - 1972 Chevrolet C-10 pick-up does the inner front wheel well mount to the outside of the fender lip?

Moose, it's been a long time since I rebuilt one of these. I brought up a parts diagram and it shows holes punched in the inner fender to line up with the lip on the fender.

What we are trying to find out is if the inner wheel well bolts to the outside of the fender lip or on top of the fender lip if that makes sense.

As I remember, it goes on the top. What I don't remember is what kind of fasteners it used. Sorry I'm not more help. I do have a friend across town that has one that I could check in a few days if you don't get a positive answer. The weather is supposed to get wet for the next 2 days. :)

Remember I am more cars than trucks but...

I believe the foldover nuts go on the fender then the well lays over the fender lip. Outside the fender.

However, where the well goes horizontal ahead of the wheel, it transitions to behind the fender lip. So when properly installed, the well edge is not seen in front of the wheel but it is, over and behind the wheel. Try it, you'll see. All the well bolts go in from bottom if its like a car.

I actually still get confused at that spot building a Chevelle or similar. Parts (fender and well) not previously mated may require work at the spot where the well transitions to behind the lip, up front.

Hope these words help. If not, I do have some pics from an old 70 chevy truck build I can reference if theres the right picture. :)

You could actually peek at any GM product that era, and you all would remember how it goes. I would take a pic of my 69 GP but its dark out. Same type arrangement.

I found a pic. Matt is correct. The fender goes on top of the inner. Assuming the truck I found was installed correctly. :)
