I like lowered cars just like the next guy. I have one customer I have lowered his car more three times. now he complained that the X member hits the road when he goes over a bump on the expressway. The only way to fix it is to raise it back up, or fabricate the crossmember higher. I mentioned Air bags, he doesn't want that because "it's cheating". He doesn't want to raise it, and he doesn't like my price on a new X member.  He can take it to someone else, and let them cobble it up, and then bring it to me to fix it, if I can, for more money.

I guess you could put solid struts in it and see how that goes. :)

If he could bring you enough raw unobtainium to work with, I feel confident that you could make the parts.

If it was a 63 Galaxie, I could've given him my springs, front and rear. I gained 2" higher in the front after new coils, don't remember the rear, but it was higher also. My back doesn't do well with low cars getting in and out.

How about offering "I would be glad to install bump stops that you can easily adjust at home." To give you the option of fine-tuning to suit your preference.

Or bolt a skateboard to the xmember.

Or ask how big they want the hole in the hood.

I feel your pain. I've had a few clients like that. In a few cases I declined to do any further work as they became toxic. When "it" stops being fun quit doing "it".

My '40 Chevy is borderline too low in the front so I lowered it a little more in the back.

Then I had to put half round notches in the K-member to tuck the exhaust up deeper as it would flatten the exhaust in those same kind of places on the freeway at 70. I still have to be very cautious in gas stations where the in-ground tank fill ares are higher than the surrounding drive. It's a curse.

After around 90K on the MII front end it needs a rebuild, but it won't get raised...
