Congratulations Don, the new Street Rodder magazine is out and YOU are IN. Page 34 Lower right. (You should have been TOP RIGHT) :)

You never have time to do it right the first time but you always have time to do it again.

Uh-oh...the price of autographs just went up a few beers.

Congratulations Don!

Congratulations Don. It's got to feel good to have your pix in a national magazine.

A little off topic, but back when I was into foreign cars, I would buy up all the mags I could find that had VW's especially, but other makes also. I was cleaning out some boxes last year, and found a Popular Imported Car mag, and decided to put it on ebay, and it sold. The buyer emailed us and told us that she is the woman in the dress next to the red car. What a coincidence.

Well done, and it's been a privilege watching you build that car.

Thanks a bunch gang. The autographs will be free.  :D  This has been the thrill of a lifetime for me. I never expected this when I started the build or when it was done and on the road.
I have completed the change out of the engine management system and the rear end gear. Now I just have to wait for the steering wheel to return from the upholster and my buddy and I can get this out in the spring and dial it in.
The ECM is fully tuneable so that's what has to happen next.

Bob,
No appointment needed I'll still hang with my pals.  :D
Got a interesting Facebook message on Wednesday evening with a phone number. Guy wanted to talk to me about my car. He had seen it in a magazine. He asked quite a few questions then got to the punch line. Is it for sale?
I am still finishing it up I stated.  He then asked how much if I decided to let it go. I add 60K. He said that sounded reasonable.
I am really attached to this and I don't feel bad about not pushing a sale. Plus I have a lot of cruising plans for the up coming season and no back up ride.  We exchanged info and he will stay in touch. Ya just never know.
Again, I would like to thank all of you for your compliments and support with this. I still can't imagine how I got this far with this build.
