For those of you who like the old Chevy Trucks, this auction is about 30 miles west of me on Monday.  Here are the pictures of some of the stuff.   http://www.lestermillerauctions.com/111416-pictures.html   I really need to stay away from this one.

Looking through there I see the hood that I sure would have liked to own a year ago. :) As a youngster, I remember seeing model a's that had some bullet holes in them and we walked away looking for a better one. Now where are we? If I was close, one of those AD's would come home with me. It will be interesting to see what this stuff brings with today's finances. Are you going , John?

If I go, it will be for part of the day as I have family activities late in the day.  I want a couple of 1954 cabs for a project I have in mind.  There is a lot of stuff that is not pictured.  I looked it over from a distance this morning.  Years ago, I would have been all over it.

If you gave me a week I could probably find enough parts that I could build something with. I only saw one Corvair! I think that the chances of them auctioning two decent truck cabs off before dinner time would be kind of slim. I'm sure it would be an entertaining day. GPster

just a few trucks and parts there.  I hope most of it is used , not scrapped

I went to the sale yesterday but I left after 3 hours.  There were two auctioneers and they were very busy.  This is the first of two auctions.  I think the remaining stuff is the better quality and it is indoors.  That sale will be sometime in the future.   I was interested in the truck cabs and most of them were stripped of the good parts but not all of them.  The ones I bid on were the better quality and they sold for about $450 to $500.  My guess is that the average price was around $300 and some that were pieces of rust metal still brought $75 to $100.  They sold between 75 and 100 cabs while I was there but I did not buy anything.
