I am hoping for some input on the best seam sealer.  I have used a 3M product in the past called " Fast and Firm "  ( Who thinks up these names anyway ).   I am not happy with the results.  I want to use a sealant that allows me to smooth and shape it for a nice finished look when it sets up.  Does anyone have a recommendation?

I suggest having a look at 3M 8374 and 8308.

8374 is a good soft single component urethane product for general purpose. Feels rubbery.

8308 is a 2K product dispensed with an Automix gun or equivalent, and it feels like vinyl. This product dries fast and can be easily sanded to shape. Won't featheredge like paint does but being able to shape it after drying is nice.

I like to use the 2K stuff anywhere it will get hot from sun or engine and the urethane everywhere else. Can scratch up example pics of each if you like. The part numbers are widely available and an easy web search, just put 3M and the numbers above into Google or whatever you use.

Throw that fast n firm over the fence, it's a dinosaur product.
