I have finally finished converting my points distributor to a magnetic pickup – GM ignition module – late style .5 ohm  coil. I spun it on the bench and it all appears to be working. The rotor phasing looks good.

Should I use a different style spark plug with it? If I should keep the original style plug should the gap be changed? Previously they were gapped at .035".

Does anyone know the difference between the Chrysler magnetic pickups? There are "lean burn" (grey + black wire) (BWD ME24 replacement) and "non lean burn" (orange + black wire) (BWD ME2A replacement). On the Bubba's Hot Rod site I see they use the "non lean burn" pickup. There were none of those at the salvage yard, but I found a "lean burn" so I used it. Should I change it?

I would gap the plugs wider to take advantage of that fatter spark . I don't know much about lean burn other than I was instructed to back away from it slowly so as not to disturb the beast .
