Hello;
No such wait for me!! Besides, I purchased another distributor off EBAY and sent him that one. I think it was about 4 weeks. We "chatted" on the internet before I sent it to him. He has a profile that the customer has to fill out so that the distributor he puts together is for your particular engine.
Mine has worked flawlessly!! Does a great job!! I had him supply the cap and coil too!. It comes with installation instructions!

I have not had good luck dealing with Bubba's ign. He's semi-retired and it shows

I have run a MSD 8360 distributor for over ten years without any problems. I know they are more expensive than a Pertronix unit, but they are a much better distributor. I would advise biting the bullet or saving you pennies for one of these.

I have used 2 Pertronix conversions..  one completey quit in a short time.  THe other started shooting fire at ducks out the tail pipe... intermentantly  , then clear up for a while.

Keep in mind , this was decades ago.  I see they still have same reputation

I realize Glen has solved his issues, but this thread has got my interest.

After looking at the photos on Bubba's site, it doesn't appear this would be to hard of a DIY.
Reluctor - $6
Pick up - $30
GM module - $35
Add a hot 12 volt coil - $?

I was going to try this with recycled parts. I went to my local yard. There wasn't a single car there with the old GM module or the Mopar reluctor or pick-up. I did grab a Ford E-coil.

Bubba's site says he uses a machined reluctor. I wonder how complex that is? I guess depends on your shaft diameter. I will need to remove every other rib from the V8 reluctor.

rumrumm, I would buy a new distributor but they are not made for my whacky motor. I want to upgrade from the points. I had to buy a new dwell meter this week. I never thought I would use one again. I considered modifying the front of my cam and cover to drive an early flathead MSD dizzy. I would have to remove every other plug terminal from it.

yes. Glen moves on fast.

Seems to me source the parts is the ticket.

Does RockAuto sell any of the needed parts separate?  Seems like they offer a ton of stuff

I've worked on a couple of air compressors that used 1 bank for compressed air and the other side was the engine.
they just ran grounded plug wires on the dead holes....just a thought
The last thing I want to do is hurt you. But it\'s still on my list
