I'm putting an electronic distributor in my T Bucket with a '69 -302
ford engine. Do I still need the Chrysler style ballast resistor that is mounted on my old style coil.?? thanks Butch

Are you putting a Mallory or MSD distributor in it? Mallory does require one on there's MSD does not.

Or is it a different electronic distributor?
You never have time to do it right the first time but you always have time to do it again.

I am installing a Unilite in mine this winter and everything I have read said you should run one to prevent any damage to the distributor.
I talked to MSD at the last show and they said the same thing. They have one built into there distributors so it is not needed.
Good luck with the install.
As soon as I get the fuel under control in mine that is the next project on that car.
