My cert guy reckons my exhaust hangers were too light so today I gusseted them 15mm stainless and a bit of tube for a neoprene bush

At first I read that as 15mm stainless, which seemed like overkill, then I realized it was 1.5mm stainless, which made more sense.

Fussy, aren't they....must be frustrated engineers. What else do they do regularly? Wouldn't seem like enough hot rod builders to really keep them busy.

I'm not knocking them necessarily as I'm sure they find construction details that aren't safe...but exhaust hangers???
