65 Mustang brake pedal

Any one have access to a 65 or 66 Mustang? I need  a measurement from the pedal pad to the bottom edge of the dash. I forgot to measure this one before I took it apart, and I am installing a custom booster setup.

i have easy access to two options..


66 fairlane 500...  with power brakes and a disc conversion that looks properly done

70 ranchero..   manual drums

i kinda have access to a 65 c code mustang 4 speed... but i don't  know if i can get to the car until friday or saturday..

don't have the exact measurement yet...

pedal face at rest... to the underside of the dash .. or up from the bare floor??

i would think that the brake pedal would bottom out the master about an inch and a half up from the bare floor to allow for padding and carpet thickness..

Got no floor to measure to? Hey I just did a '70 model and if I recall correctly the assembly manual said around 4 1/2" for the brake and 5 1/2" for the clutch, with pedals at rest and measured from the pedal face perpendicularly to the toe board. Not to the dash. I do have a friend with a 65 but its all aftermarket stuff. If you want those '70 measurements for sure ( I just went from memory and thats shaky. Might be 6" and 7" and a half ), I can check the manual tomorrow. We may also have the earlier manual.  vintagemustang forums might have a quick and definite answer for you.

I think I have the solution. I borrowed a stock pushrod from a buddy, and I have a stock master cylinder. I'll mock up with that, and get an idea where it should be.
