I have a 1930 Sport Coupe...............

For the life of me I can NOT ID where these two brackets mount to.  In fact, I'm not sure that I removed them from my project in 2008 or just inherited them with the rest of the junk that came with the project.

¿ CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT ?

Thank you in advance,
LG,
Mike

They look like the corner braces that go at the ends of the side rails where they fasten to the front edge of the rear cross member. Because of the design of the frame it needs some help to stop diagonal bending. GPster

Large end mounts to the door jamb with bolts thru jamb.  Small end mounts under the framing for the rear quarter windows, screws going up into the wood.

At least that is how they go on my 30 standard coupe

In the attached view you can see the bracket where the bead line meets the door jamb.  Held on to the jamb with 3 stove bolts.

Well so much for attachments.  Look for 3 bolt holes in the jamb just under the latch that match your bracket.

One of these days I'll learn to keep my mouth shut. Maybe the computer dropping my Pass Word is an omen. GPster

Think I've got this figures out:

Sorry not the greatest picture, just some snaps I made prior to dis=-assembly so I could remember how it went together.

Similar to rear frame brace, but lighter gauge metal.

BINGO!

Canuck is right on the money.

The bracket goes on the upper corner where the quarter panel meets up with the "B" pillar.  Three bolts come off of the pillar and two come through the wood belt line and the quarter panel.
The purpose is to reinforce the B pillar at this junction.

THANK YOU ALL FOR TAKING THE TIME OUT TO ASSIST ME-

Mine is a standard coupe.  The 2 holes in the bracket that meet up with the belt line originally had wood screws in them, going up into the framing around the window.  In my case, with a "Robertson Head".  I am Canadian and it is a Canadian car .

Yours being a sport coupe, could be different.
