2003 Lincoln LS with 3.9 engine.

I got a P2107 code and the engine went into the limp home mode.
I reset the computer by removing the battery for a few minutes. It drove fine for about a day then went into limp mode again. I went to a local Ford dealer and spoke to a Mechanic and he said I needed a Throttle body, and they replace a lot of them.
I ordered a Throttle Body. I will install it this week. I have a question, the Throttle Body has a heater line attached to the throttle body. If I by-pass that line the air would enter the engine cooler and maybe a little more HP and gas milage. I know it will be just a few %. The question is will the computer not like the cooler air and give me a error code ?
In Georgia we very seldom get cold enough to need carb heat.

check for a misfire with bad coils first...


got a misfire.. the code will set.. because the engine is not responding to the Throttle blade movement as expected..

there are several articles about on cleaning ford electronic throttle bodies...

i have NOT run into this first hand..
