Takes about 10 minutes to watch this youtube:

&feature=youtu.be

I don't know if you lose much due to the foriegn language captions but I wish they turned off the music when the thing's running.

Heh, heh, really cool video.

Imagine assembly of a V-12 on your kitchen table.

Must have been a watchmaker in real life.

Just making the video was an accomplishment let along creating the engine.

thats incredible ... i wonder how he ground the cam...   and then phased the grinding..

i loved the swiss watch screw ,  connecting rod bolts..

i wonder if he put in a request to ARP for them...

i liked the idea of using the crank flange for  the live center..

one could do a similar device for machining cranks on a large swing lathe..

i would still like the crank production machine i saw in the back of keith black racing engines...   it was a conventional crank grinder..  but instead of a grinding wheel.. it had a vertical mill..   it was removing all that was not a top fuel crank from a big ingot of steel..

Old Blue

Its an interesting little model.  It is not an internal combustion engine however it may look like one as it does not burn any fuel and "run" on it's own.

It sits there and spins and operates on supplied compressed air.

That takes away from it in my eyes.

If you want to see something more impressive, look up the miniature SBC V8 engines that actually run on fuel like an internal combustion engine should.

Not sure what you would call that V12.
