While starting his 40 Ford, it backfired, caught the car and garage on fire. It was a near total loss, but he was not hurt seriously.

I saw that on the HAMB...man those pictures are hard to look at, Glad he's O.K.

Wow! That is really sad. Kinda makes me sick to my stomach to look at those photos. Glad he was not seriously hurt.

Yes Tom has provided a lot of memories for all of us Car Guys.

Sure is a shame to see those pics.

It's almost as bad as those guys having to watch the burn down of Kee Bird back in 95, after putting so much money, sacrifice and effort into getting it running.
