Yesterday, I ean some errands here in town. Picked up the mail, auto parts store, drug store, and then the hardware store. When I came out of the hardware store, got in the car, turned the ignition, and.... nothing. Prior to that, no problems, no warning. I opened the hood, wiggled the negative battery cable, and tried again. It started, so I came home to check it further.

It had a bolt on battery cable end, I don't like them, but it had worked up to now, and it didn't look that bad. Futher investigation found another connection in the middle of the cable for a body ground. That did not look so good, and a bit of investigation showed the cable was completely green in that area.

I made up a new cable, with sealed connections all round, and that cured the problem.

This is the second problem with grounds that I have had this month. It turned out that the problem with Josh's Mustang was also a ground, on the sensor circuit.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.
