update on 1952 Chevy truck

Ohio Blue Tip

Just to update the truck build.  
I boxed the frame and added clearance for the rack using 3.5" tubing between the frame and boxing plates.
Leveled and fit the cross member and welded in place, assembled the front suspension and set the alignment at -5 degrees camber and 3.5 degrees caster, with 1/32 toe in as my starting settings.  Mounted tires and wheels.
Next I will start on the rear 4 bar coil over suspension.

looks good , you have a chunk  of work  done already.

Is that a Heidte  front end cross member?

Front and rear are both Scott's from California, I believe Scott's IFS is the best design I have seen and it seems to be much stronger than the others.

that does look like a tough front suspension.

keep us updated when you can.

I had a 1948 and 1950 chev trucks.  48 had the mustang II stuff ( - OEM parts)... the 50 , I used the original  front  axle with  later self energizing brakes. The 1950 truck drove better

sweet.  Like the work.  Nice to see someone that puts the crossmember in the frame high enough that you need C notches for the steering.
