Just got back home from running uptown on a short maiden voyage to one of my hangouts. The car runs fine but is kinda loud, with just straight pipes and no mufflers. I also need to get a bunch of Dynomat and line all the sheetmetal panels, there are a lot of strange vibrations from the body when rolling down the road. It reminds me a whole lot of a racecar in the exhaust note and volume, although the Caddy 472 is basically stock, with only a little valve bowl smoothing done on the heads.

Now comes the fun part, getting all the filler work, blocksanding, and finish painting done so it looks cherry. After that I'm gonna concentrate on getting the interior work done over this fall and winter, and get all the glass in, along with the power windows and the remote door openers.

WOOHOO!!   :D  :D

Doc,

good to hear the news.

Sounds like  some 'normal' has returned to your life if you are working on the car again.

Some people try to turn back their odometers
Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way.
I\'ve traveled a long way and some of the
roads weren\'t paved.
