I have a 48 Olds Sedanette with a camaro clip in the front, 454/TH400 and a 12 bolt diff with the stock trailing arm suspension and coil springs. I would like to swap the rear springs out to lower the car 4 to 5" without sacrificing the ride or load capacity. The suspension works great and has all new bushings installed. Any Idea what might work? I have a Moog Spring Spec book which is great info, but I have no idea what the specs on the original springs would be. The listings don't go that far back.

Look at 79 or so Malibu wagon rear springs. They are pigtailed on both ends, I think your originals are too. I know they fit perfectly in Buicks of that era, and lower it about 4"
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

Yes the originals are pigtailed at both ends and I do believe the the Buick setup is quite similar. I'll give the Malibu wagon springs a shot. Thanks! Rick
