I'm going to use a pressure indicator to adjust my tv valve.  What pressure should I expect to see in park @ idle.
Thanks guys, Bud

Depends on the build of the trans.

A stock unit will run 55 - 65 psi at idle and TV cable  at minimum setting .

there is a minimum TV  cable setting on a stock 700 trans.  There is a check ball that can seat if the TV minimum setting is too loose.  IF this check ball seats... the  main line  pressure will go very high.  This is "fail safe" mode.

This is a stock 700. On the Bowtie Overdrives site they say to set the tv valve by adjusting just until pressure @ idle starts to increase then back off slightly to normal idle pressure. Would you agree with this procedure
Tony?

you want transmission  pressure rise as the throttle is pressed.  that is the way the system is designed to operate.

More throttle , needs more trans pressure to hold th epower
