Hi All,
I have a super slider spring in the front of my 46.(stock axle)
And I used a chassis Engineering kit out back.
The kit that is in the rear uses springs out of a dodge 4X4 truck.
So to get the rear down I needed 4" lowering blocks. But it rides bad.
The rear is stiff.
Can I get away with taking a leaf or two out of the spring pack?
I don't need to lower the car, just get a better ride,
The car is stiff, like it has very little give in the rear, the whole car will bounce, before the springs give at all.
Any Ideas?
Thanks Russ

You can try removing a couple leafs. The lowering blocks will be wrong the. I think Posie's makes a replacement super slide spring for that kit.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

I took 2 leaves out of my stock 37 leafs in the rear. It lowered it a little, but the ride was improved drastically!...CR

Several years ago I used the CE complete rear kit with springs in a 40 Ford, a good friend used the same set up you have with the Dodge leafs. He soon ordered the CE springs after riding in mine. Considerably better ride. Joe

I too used the CE springs that came with the kit in the Kidd's 37 Dodge ..  ( We used a 40 Ford kit with CE springs..Adapting as needed..) ..That car was built in '89...Still rides GREAT... I wish I could get my Olds to ride like his car..... 8)
