I'm in Arlington, between Dallas and FtWorth.

Never heard of them.
I could probably drive by and see if the place burnt down or something.

That would be a great help to him. Still no contact back to him from e-mails and they won't answer the phone. Been over 4 weeks now.

Nowhere on their link can I find the address, it just says Dallas TX.

Do you have a street or shipping address in any of your paperwork?

Here's the address.

McClure Racing
10944 Grissom Lane
DALLAS, TX 75229

It's a friend who's been given the run around. No body has answered the phone for 4 weeks and the mail box is full. Funny the phone is still hooked up. I did a search and found some business in the area and one says he thinks he's still there and another that says he's out of business. Looks like all the business have the 10944 address and must be like building one or suite 1. The guy at Mustang Performance said he is behind him.  Here's a map if it helps.  Thanks again for the help.

I'll try and roll by this weekend, E-Mail me your friends name in case I
find someone home.
zandell@msn.com

That area is full of car stuff, AER is just down the block.  AER does most
of the Ford reman, they also sponsor a kick * road racing team of
Mustangs.

So here's the story.
I meet Merc50 for breakfast at 7:00am with all the old timers.
7:00 is way too early for me on a Saturday.  We decided to turn
the day into a little shop crawl, Merc50 in his 32 5 window
Highboy and me in my Model A.

Started with Breakfast then a stop a Bob Wilson's to check
our a cool 27T roadster he is building with his son.  We moved
on to Sachse Rod shop, Wades, a great body shop then Luckys
speed shop.  Our final stop was trying to find McClure Racing.

We find the address which is in a not so great part of town.
The row of warehouse doors are mostly marked, except for
the one we were looking for.  Nobody was home and the
neighbors didn't see this McClure guy much either.

As we sleuth around we find two other business cards stuffed
in the door.  So being the snoopy guy I am, I call the number
on the card and ask if he is having trouble with a motor builder.
The answer is yes.  Turns out one guy flew out from California
trying to find this place since he spend a couple grand and has
spent the last 16mo trying to contact the builder.

In the end we found the building, confirmed McClure racing is
a flaky operation, and got at least 3 people who are being screwed
in contact with each other so they can combine resources.

I think the moral of the story is if you want to do business on line,
be very careful.  If you make a mistake use these * computers
to help you.  A guy in Pa has a friend in Nebraska with counterparts
on the RRT in Dallas who can do a little research, welcome to the
2005 century.

Pretty good of you to go looking for this *. Maybe the screw-ee's can all get together and nail him to the wall now....

34ford

That's pretty much how it is. Want to thank flt-blk and 50merc for taking the time to check out this guy. Saved Charlie a trip to Texas for nothing. The police are looking into it now and from the sound of it there are more people who have been had too. If I buy anything form out of town I use my charge card so I have a way to recoup my money. Had this happen on a set of custom gauges a guy was building in CA  Had a nice write up on him in the magazine and his set up and the employees. Never returned my calls once the gauges were ordered and money in the bank. Secretary always answered the phone and would take a message. Called the card company and they refunded my money and went after him. So stay away from McClure Racing.

I just wish we could have given him better news...ah well.

I really feel bad for the guy who flew out from Bakersfield CA to do nothing more but leave a card on the guys door.
