Update on the vortec v8

Hey gang,
 Yesterday morning I waited for it to warm up a bit and headed down to the shop. The Tahoe is outside due to a lack of space.  
 I pulled the distributor and turned it two teeth. Way to much.  So I moved it back one tooth and there it was!!!!!!  The sweet spot was found.  
So I finished the adding of coolant and tied up a few loose ends and test drove it. Everything is good.
Stopped at the party store my buddy owns and he came out smiling.  He says "and it even runs."  I said only one problem.  He says what? That * check engine light is off.  After 2 years!!!!
