i want swinging pedals, i hate floor stuff so that's out and i don't particulaly want hyd clutch stuff altho a line-loc soliniod inline would be kinda cool...

ya know,i find it hard to believe NOBODY here has ever made clutch linkage.....

guess i'm on my own.

Well, I've made linkage, but I didn't take pictures. The key to clutch linkage, on any belcrank, you want the linkage at 90 degrees to the lever with the pedal all the way down. This will give you maximum leverage when holding the pedal down at a stop light. Have you thought about a cable?

not really, where would you get one?
if i would use a cable, it'd have to be adjustable.
the ones i generally see are self-adjusting pedal crap

There are stores in most fair sized towns that can custom make cables for many applications. Or you can salvage a cable out of a car or truck, figure out a better adjuster, and use that. Pay slose attention to the way the cable mounts to the pedal, that sector that the cable lays over is curved to give more leverage when the pedal is all the way down too. The advantage to a cable, you can run it around obstacles.

trigger,

I'd use a cable deal.

I am sure you could build an adjustable setup.

Mechanical linkage needs the correct angles between the rods , pedals , and throwout bearing arm.

Many folks seem to start with late 1980's mustang cable clutch  stuff.

Are you working on a early 50's suburban with a 500 caddy and a t-56 behind it?

naw, i was thinking a blown 500" cad with an opel 4 speed ;)

gonna 4 spd my coupe this winter AFTER it gets beck from getting a cage put in.

still don't think i like the cable idea, hydraulic might be a better solution.
like i said, a lineloc could be handy...
