I am looking for a  whole sale  parts source for steel  check balls.   We bought some specific steel size  check balls from  a company years ago.

No body remembers the company and so far my search of the net has not worked well.  I find rubber check balls ( will not work )  and larger diameter check balls

I need a check ball steel in size   .315  -  .320  diameter...  I can find a few in the size I need from a certain transmitten group...  I need 200  of them for a start  a pricing.  I am not sure I can get  this idea pass management yet

That's a bastard size isn't it?  I'm sure you can't use them but 12 gauge 0 Buck shot is 8.1mm (.320").  Hornady's spherical tolerance is .001"

That's right at 8mm, try a bearing supply house  for loose ball bearings.

thanks guys...plenty of  leads to check out...

ol automotive critic wayne had a few links he sent to me too.

the check ball I am looking for is common in a 700r4 transmittin =  the  fail safe check ball size.

I am trying to use these to plug a hole in a t-400 valve body.  A quick easy method for building custom valve bodies..  We currrently use a small cup plug , that is getting difficult to locate.  so , I came up with this idear.

thanks.
