looking from the rear of the bulb. which wire is which and it seem like the high low is switched by the ground if I read the wiring in the manual correct. 94 toyota but seems like it would apply to my round 2 bulb system on  my upgraded 50 f1. thanks ED

I don't remember which is which, but when i was wiring my truck I took a battery charger and touched the terminels on the bulb to find out.

What does your plug look like? Is this a standard sealed beam bulb?

hmm... i could not find a pic  so i drew it up..

this is looking at the back of the head light ... and the wire side (back side) of the connector

hope this helps....

as for the ground switching the headlights... almost anything is possible  ... i have found a tiny problem in some prints... that the guy who drew the print just did not have a real understanding of what was going on in the circuit...
