iridiums? :shock:
my '00 chevy got platiums in it when i did head gaskets.
doesn't idle as good as it did with the iridiums...

i did a search for my 04 and came up with probably the same brand for 24.95 EACH :shock:

yes those are the ones. Slick you say your truck doesn't idle as well What about the claim for power and mileage?

oem 5.3's come with iridiums, i repaced mine with platinums (cheap * that i am) cuz i didn't want to spend 11 bucks a plug.....

milage?who knows, i can't keep my foot out of it OR i need to haul something....

My 02 is a 2500HD with an 8.1. I bought it new and have around 82,000 on it. It's done everything I ever asked of it. Including pulling our 30  ft travel trailer over the Rockies on I-70 at speed rather than crawling up. The platinum seem to work fine. No problem off idle it'll turn the tires fine

82k and you put plugs in it!?!?
they're good for a 100k+ before you need plugs :D
and many tanks of gas;)


what're you getting for milage?
the bosses 8.1 don't get any (milage) :D
his son'e 6.0 ain't much better but the ARE both X cab 4x4 2500hd's...

I replaced the plugs at about 70,000 before I left for my western parts hunting trip last spring. The very best I've ever gotten was 15mpg usually around 13mpg this is running empty. Pulling our travel trailer 7-8 1/2mpg, pulling the car trailer 10mpg. You're right about the 6.0L my son had a 6.0L  identical truck to mine except for motor/trans, both ext, 4wd, 2500HD. Didn't really see any better than my 8.0 and of course didn't have the guts mine does for pulling. In 06 he traded it on a new Duramax because the 6.0 wouldn't do the job he wanted pulling his 24" enclosed
