Mobile floor sanding?  Never heard of that.

Must be  a large amount of wood floors in the country?

You going to live in the trailer and travel/work?

ill be taking my tent and camping for a while, at least while the weather is warm.almost every home in oz has timber floors, most new homes have concrete but either have them covered with carpet or battened out and timber floors layed over the top, theres a lot of timber down under. it just depends on the trend, when people get sick of wood they cover then in carpet then as the trend changes the carpets are pulled up and the floors are sanded and polished. I am just using it as an excuse to travel the country and attend as many rod runs i can get too lol

Hi guys
I have been offline for a very long time now, so thought an update would be in order.
I have settled down in a small country town in western n.s.w austrailia.
I still have my red vauxhall, although it is in lots of peices at present.
I am having a new engine built for it, still going to be an inline 6 cyl but with a twist.
The new engine will run an eaton m90 supercharger with dedicated straight gas (LPG) Fuel system. it will have over 300+ hp so it should get the little car some excitment on the street or strip.
the new motor has been a little more expensive than i had planned, but will be worth every dollar when its finished.
I have had to strip the car completley to rebuild the chassis, or frame and make it a little stronger than it was, as the new horsepower would have probabley twisted the old frame that was under the car.
the plan is to install the new engine and tidy up the body and paint a bit at the same time. I need to try and get it all finished before the easter break in april and have it ready for the street rod nats that will be once again held in Goulbourne n.s.w.
there are a few pics in the links below if anyone is interested.

Nice to hear about your updates to your rod. How about an update on your adventure. Sounded like you were on track for one. How did the traveling floor sanding deal work out? Did ya live in your car? Sounds like you are as interesting as your car. Joe

My trip never really got off the ground, I ended up as far as 500 miles from home and ended up setting up my buissnes here, The idea is still strong in my head, but  need  to get a couple of things sorted first.

here is a pic of my new motor, with blower in mock up stage while my mate finds out where everything will fit. he has to mount the blower over the drivers side, yep RH drive here, as the front of car tapers in at the front towards the grill shell , and there was not going to be enougth room to fit it to the passenger side.

there will be a Jap conrod mounted to the snout that will be set up as a tensioner.
I will add some more pics when the blower is set up

This is where i got my supercharger from. a mate of mine was running it on his 265 hemi and decided to put a bigger one on it.

He is now using this one on his.

you can see the difference in the pic below.
