I am getting all the parts to convert my 36 Dodge from stock door latches to bear claws. I wand to use the outside door handles. I know I will have to make a inside support and a lever coming off the square shaft.

Anybody done this and any advice you could help me with ?

I also have the Autoloc power door locks. This looks like it will be simple to install.

Thanks in advance for your advice  !

This link shows how I installed the bear claws in my 54 Chevy.  Hope some of this may help you out with your installation.

Check out this site for a straight forward solution on a '37 Ford; a similar vintage handle assembly:

I just remembered another way to go for a solution.  Search the Project 33 database for other door operation info pages.  All of the builder's ideas are pretty clever.

Here's the link to what I did on our '32... like Project 33, it's a 'glass body.  I integrated a travel delay into the latch to function more like a stock door handle.

These spring loaded things from Rocky Hinge are great: http://rockyhin.ipower.com/store/product38.html

my experience with the folks at rocky hinge was great. I ordered mini bearclaws from them and got great service.
